Lanyu Home Care Association: Lighting up the Life Glimmer for Elderly Living Alone
Located in southeastern Taiwan, Lanyu (Orchid Island) has limited sea and air transportation, and residents face challenges accessing medical services. All residents depend on a single Township Public Health Center to serve both acute and chronic patients. However, the healthcare resources for cancer patients and elderly care are insufficient. In 1999, Ms. Zhang Shu-lan and her volunteers established the Lanyu Home Care Association in Taitung County to implement government subsidy programs aimed at alleviating the shortage of care resources on the island.





Ecological Conservation of Wetlands Taiwan Turns Chouchai Wetland into A Natural Landscape Paradise
Taiwan Wetlands Conservation Alliance (Wetlands Taiwan) collaborates with the Park Office of the Public Works Bureau, Kaohsiung City Government, to manage the 9.1-hectare Chouchai Wetland. They organized various themed activities to encourage the public and corporate groups to connect with, learn about, and experience environmental issues. They are also among the first excellent venues in Kaohsiung to be certified as suitable for natural environment education and eco-education.

In recent years, "Mawudu Coffee" gradually gained prominence under a group of returnees' dedication, and has successfully transformed what used to be a lime-mining area.

It spent 3 years building a "Storytelling Commercial Area" ecosystem, integrating the history, culture, and digitalization to promote coexistence and co-prosperity.
