There is a settlement space—"Daqi Creative Art Base," which is full of art and creative atmospheres at Daqi Village in Guantian District, Tainan City. The Base was once an idle space in the village. About a decade ago, there was a large fallow land in Yihe Village, along Kangzhuang Road in the southern part and near the Shihmen Reservoir of Daxi District, Taoyuan. In 1999, Ms. Zhang Shu-lan and her volunteers established the Lanyu Home Care Association in Taitung County to implement government subsidy programs aimed at alleviating the shortage of care resources on the island.
